My last yarn for Spring…
It’s 100%Corriedale and 100%Finn..spun as singles and then plied together..A photo of the corridale fibre I used is posted few posts back…Now to soak and set the twist and later tonight Ill start spinning up something new…I’m digging in the stash for Autumn colours.🍂🍃🐌
I spun and plyed this yarn yesterday..it’s gold orange/red and brown dyed finnxcorriedale/romney fleece.. I’m pretty happy with how squishy it is.. It’s 185grams, 123 meters 7wpi so it’s chunky.
This is one bag of Finn x Corridale/Romney fleece that I was prepping for Tour de Fleece, but I decided to spin it up yesterday as a test run.. It spun up so soft and squishy..
I’ve put the rest of my fleece away as I can’t trust myself not to spin it before the Tour starts..
So tonight instead of continuing on my crochet wave blanket I’ve started on another blanket that Im making with leftover assorted pink and purple yarns.. pics soon.
Let the fibre prep begin!😁…it’s too cold to sit outside today and make rolags so inside it is!..getting these ready for #tourdefleece this year that starts July7th. I’ve joined team #kathysfibres on Ravelry because all my stash at the moment is from her..actually most of my yarns I make are.
The fibres consist of white sparkle, finn fleece x a finn x corriedale /romney fleece, some banana silk threads and I’m contemplating mixing in some alpaca I have too..
If I don’t make rolags I might make batts instead?
