new fibre purchases..

I bought these awesome fibres from a Aussie fibre artist who unfortunately is closing her online business..

I bought 200g of corriedale /silk top and 200g of BFL /super bright trilobal nylon.. the corriedale is from an Aussie bale project and both have the true smell of the sheep that they came from.. They are so soft and I just love them.

Maybe I should have bought more because I did get them for 40% off the sale price!.. #win!

local markets..

…arnt they the best!!

I went to our local markets this morning and I didn’t come home empty handed.

I was only going for a coffee and a lamington but I walked past a ladies stall and she was selling Australian indigenous artists paintings on canvas and they were all signed with the artists names and stories on the back and where the artists live.

They were so beautiful that I decided on two pieces of works from 2 different ladies.

Then I walked on past the local honey makers and couldn’t resist the tiny beeswax candles nor the honey varieties so after a couple of tastes I bought the one I liked the best.

I’m going to burn this candle tonight. I then got totally side tracked on my way into another shop by a lady who had a stall full of scrappy journals!!!

My heart was so happy when I seen them!.. but not so happy with the prices!… eeeeeek!!!

Then I had a inspired moment and asked the lady to do a personal journal for me!.. I gave her my two beautiful painted canvases and asked her to use them as the covers and can she make the journal with a tarot inspired art and colours feel!.. she was so excited to do it for me and I’m going to give her some of my spare tarot cards and send her some images to inspire her as to what types of colours I’d like in it.. I can’t wait to see it… Im so happy right now!

Ok tonight I will get my wheel out and spin so the next post I can show you the polwarth rolags as a yarn. They have been patiently waiting for close to a month I’m sure to be spun!.
